joins: a join link works only as far as its creator could still create it (checked on redemption)
tsk-cpeb1wed1jtr proposed feature
Maintainer decision 2026-11-02 (chat, "paßt!"), from req-86q0fwd3h6w9 (the join link of someone who has left). Small, after the launch.
Principle: a join link is valid only as far as its creator could create it today. The hub checks this when the link is redeemed, not when the creator leaves.
- Today non-members may not create joins, so the link of someone who has left is dead.
- If an open project later lets outsiders invite, the link stays valid, because the former member falls back to exactly that level. No special rule is needed.
- The same applies when someone is demoted or removed: their links never grant more than they currently may.
In the join list, such links show as "dormant – creator no longer has the right" instead of being deleted silently. An admin can take one over with one click.
Contract: §6 joins (redemption check, list state) and the KTW entry with the alternative that was rejected (withdraw on leave: too rigid once open projects allow outside invitations).
