Failed on #225 CI (run 39901554343, cli 3.13 and 3.11): shutil.copytree of ws/maity/agent-3/.git hit objects/maintenance.lock vanishing mid-copy (git background maintenance / auto-gc). Make the test deterministic: disable maintenance/gc in the test repo (git config maintenance.auto false, gc.auto 0) or copy with an ignore for *.lock, or build the evil dir without copying a live .git. Small PR.
