Contract #817 (§6.17 'A dormant instance', with §5.2, §5.3 'Not listening', §6.2, §6.12 source: dormant, §6.18, §6.19 takeover, §8.2, §8.6, §13, §15.11). Oliver, 2026-10-31: an instance kept with its session and knowledge, woken only by its own address, visible to everyone. Why: context/instances.md (dormant entry).

Hub: dormant {since, by} on the instance (migration through the queue, ask A for your turn), PATCH /me and PATCH …/members/{id} with instance (owner member or not, members:admin with the foreign-owner consent, agents only for themselves), invalid codes (instance: required, dormant: lead, team.lead_instance: dormant), member_updated with changed: ["dormant"] plus the instance token when someone else sets it; the long-poll wake filter (only its own instance: token, also over the supervised set), team wake lead/next_free and round_robin skip it, group-chat instance mentions add the instance token, not-listening counts only its own token, takeover to resolves past dormant instances, a replaces successor starts awake, availability limited/source: dormant when every active instance is dormant. Resume packet me.dormant, instance views and the team array carry dormant.
